Rare Redware Chamberpot with Profuse Manganese Decoration, American, first half 19th century, ovoid form with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and wide strap handle, brush-decorated around the body with manganese slip swag designs underscored with a wavy manganese stripe. Manganese dash decoration to rim and stripe decoration to handle. The finest-decorated redware chamberpot that we have ever offered. An approximately 3 3/4" professionally-restored section to rim. A few rim chips. A minor handle nicks. H 6 1/4" ; Diam. (at rim) 7 3/4".
