Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. FARRAR & Co / GEDDES,N.Y." circa 1855, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a large brushed and slip-trailed design of a triple-blossomed flowering plant. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A large base chip. A 3 3/4" line from spout. Fry to cobalt. Some staining and residue to surface. Some small in-the-firing flaws to surface. An in-the-firing contact mark to top of spout. A blurry spot to upper flower in decoration. H 14".
