Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large-size crested parrot with spotted back, perched on a branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Two chips to interior of rim. A 1 5/8" chip to exterior of rim. An approximately 5 1/2" spider crack to far left side of crock's front. Some light staining and traces of green paint to surface. Some wear to rim and handles. H 10 1/8".
