One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Dove Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON SONS / WORCESTER MASS," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a dove perched on a branch. Cobalt accents to maker's mark. A top-to-bottom crack on proper left side of crock's front. A thin 5 1/2" crack from rim on reverse. Two chips to interior of rim. A small glazed-over iron ping to shoulder on reverse. H 7 5/8".
