Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER. MASS," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large design of a crested parrot perched in the crook of two leaves. Spotted details to bird's back and swag treatment to one leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 12 3/8".
