Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested parrot perched on a branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent color. Spout chips. A small worn spot to base of handle. Staining to surface. A small in-the-firing iron ping to proper left side of jug. A small in-the-firing ping to underside. H 15 1/4".
