Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Chicken Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a detailed, shrubbed ground. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. Spout chips. Some light surface wear. H 14".
