Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Gemel, Stamped "NEW-HAVEN," Absalom Stedman or Stedman & Seymour, New Haven, Connecticut, circa 1830, pair of conjoined ovoid jugs with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded spouts, decorated with brushed highlights to the maker's marks and at the juncture of the jugs. Restored handle. Some in-the-firing crazing to surface of one jug and a small chip to interior of same spout. A small in-the-firing iron ping to opposing jug. H 6 3/4".
