Three Stoneware Canning Jars, Central PA origin, third quarter 19th century, a salt-glazed jar and Albany-slip-glazed jar, each bearing an impressed mark of Williamsport, PA potting firm, Sipe, Nichols & Company; together with a salt-glazed jar, stamped "WM. MOYER, / HARRISBURG PA.," circa 1858-1861. Salt-glazed Sipe, Nichols & Company jar with likely original lid. Albany-slip-glazed jar with associated lid. Moyer jar with probably associated lid. Salt-glazed Sipe, Nichols & Company jar and lid in excellent condition with some staining to jar and rough glaze to lid. Albany-slip-glazed jar with wear and small chips to rim and inner rim for lid, its lid in excellent condition. Moyer jar with a small chip to interior of rim, a thin 3" crack from rim, and an in-the-firing base chip, its lid with chips to edge and knob. H (of Moyer jar including lid) 8 1/4".
