Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. CRISMAN / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1883-1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a swag and hanging flower motif across the shoulder on the front and reverse. A crack on underside, continuing up base to shoulder area. Heavy chipping to rim and handles. A few larger base chips. A small chip to underside. Some staining to surface. H 13 1/2".
