Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, all of cylindrical form, a three-gallon example with slip-trailed foliate spray, stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.;" a two-gallon example with slip-trailed vine motif, stamped "GEDDES. N.Y.;" and a two-gallon example with slip-trailed spotted flower motif, attributed to H. Weston, Honesdale, PA. New York Stoneware Co. jug with spots of surface, including to decoration, spout chips, a star-shaped ping to proper right side, a long, horizontal firing crack to base, and small base chips. Geddes jug with two small spout chips, an in-the-firing ping to handle and front of jug, and some light staining and paint residue to surface. Honesdale jug with a flake to spout, some fry to cobalt, and a glazed-over iron ping to shoulder. H (of Geddes jug) 14".
