Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, one with intricate looping slip-trailed design accented with brushed spots, stamped "GEDDES.N.Y.," the other with slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "ITHACA, N.Y." Geddes jug with two spout chips, a small chip and minor nick to bottom edge, staining to surface, and minor surface wear. Ithaca jug with fry to cobalt, a small spout chip and minuscule spout nick, minor crazing to shoulder, light surface wear, and dates in black marker on underside. H (of Geddes jug) 11 3/4".
