Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Numeral Decoration, Stamped "TROY, N.Y. / POTTERY.," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of the number "2" with foliate, spot, and stripe elements. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. A drilled lamp wire hole in front. Spout chips. Staining to surface. Black crayon number on underside. H 14".
