Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a plump-bodied bird perched on a flower. A filled 7/8" rim chip on front. Minor bubbling to cobalt. A minor in-the-firing iron ping near base on front. H 10 3/8".
