One-Gallon Syracuse, NY Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "GEDDES NY," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with squared spout, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "Kenyon Potter & Co. / Wholesale Druggists / 34 + 36 Clinton St. / Syracuse / N.Y." Includes wooden stopper. Black marker inscription on underside dating the merchant firm to 1864-1888. Excellent condition with a minor spout wear, a 1 1/4" diagonal glazed-over line at base, and an in-the-firing contact mark to top of handle. H (excluding stopper) 11 1/2".
