Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with tapered spout, brush-decorated with a tulip beside a freehand "3." Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Superb color. Very nice condition with generally minor flaws. Some light staining. Interior of spout with a small C-shaped surface crack including some minor chipping. Two minor chips to exterior of spout. Some faint crazing to base. A minor base chip. A small chip and minor chip to underside along bottom edge, both probably in-the-firing. H 16 1/4".
