Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jar with footed base and semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze producing a pumpkin-orange coloration. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Staining to surface and underside. A small rim chip. Minor rim wear. A 1" X-shaped surface line near base, not visible on interior. Scratches to interior base area. H 5 7/8".
