One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Jar with Alexandria, VA Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "E.J. MILLER & SON. / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA. VA." Freehand stripe decoration above and below. An approximately 1" line on underside, continuing 2" up base on front. Minor residue from use to surface. H 10 1/4".
