Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "FORT EDWARD STONEWARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a leaf. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Rim chips. Some staining to surface, primarily on reverse. A 2" Y-shaped surface line to reverse, not visible on interior. H 10 3/8".
