Large-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bust of Theodore Roosevelt, Signed and Dated "Clint Alderman / 2012," GA origin, 2012, wheel-thrown and hand-modeled bust of President Theodore Roosevelt with impressed eyes and incised details throughout, the surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze with lighter glazing to the lapels and necktie. Reverse incised "Theodore Roosevelt / Oct. 27, 1858 - Jan. 6, 1919 / 26th U.S. President / 1901-1909." Incised Clint Alderman signature and date on underside. Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection; On long-term loan to Colonial Williamsburg, 2019 to 2023. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 17 3/4".
