Quart-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Southeastern PA origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, brush-decorated with groups of graduated swags extending completely around the shoulder. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a glazed-over dent to shoulder and a minor glazed-over dent to rim. H 6 7/8".
