Rare Miniature Slip-Decorated Redware Pitcher and Bowl Set, probably Anthony Bacher or Adam Kern, Winchester, VA or Mechanicstown (now Thurmont), MD, circa 1881-1883, ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared rim, the surface decorated with manganese and cream-colored slip under a clear lead glaze; included with its likely-original bowl, delicately-potted with footed base and crimped rim, the surface similarly-decorated with manganese and cream-colored slips under a clear lead glaze. Both in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of pitcher) 2 7/8" ; Dimensions (of bowl): H 2" ; Diam. 3 7/8".
