Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, a four-gallon ovoid jar with elaborate brushed floral decoration, stamped "W.H. FARRAR & Co. / GEDDES, N.Y.," paired with a three-gallon cylindrical jar with brushed floral motif, stamped "W. HART / OGDENSBURGH." Farrar jar with large horizontal Y-shaped crack, staining, base chips, a chip to inner rim for lid, a minor flake to interior of rim, and some in-the-firing pings to surface. Hart jar with exfoliation to underside, a Y-shaped line to underside, and small chips to inner rim for lid. H (of Farrar jar) 13 1/2".
