Very Fine Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bowl, attributed to J.H. Owen, Seagrove, NC, circa 1920, tall bowl with rounded sides and footed base, the shoulder decorated with crossing incised wavy line decoration highlighted in cobalt. Heavy cobalt slip decoration on interior. Surface covered in a salt glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Bowl is slightly out-of-round with a small in-the-firing worn spot to rim and a minor, glazed-over 1" base flake. H 6 5/8" ; Diam. 11 3/8".
