Three Pieces of New Jersey Stoneware, 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "H. HUMISTON / SOUTH-AMBOY," circa 1830; a one-gallon ovoid jug with incised banding an unusual greenish slip decoration, circa 1805; and a one-gallon open-handled jar with wavy incised banding, highlighted in cobalt on one side and iron on the reverse. Humiston jug with exfoliation to surface and a small in-the-firing surface chip to one side. Other jug with a 1 3/4" crack on underside, continuing 6" up body of jug. Jar with extensive restoration to exfoliation, including some restoration to handles, as well as unrestored rim and base chips. H (of tallest) 13 7/8".
