Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Apple Decoration, Roseville, OH origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with two large freehand apple motifs flanking a freehand "6," underscored by a hanging flower. Impressed "6" on reverse. Excellent condition with a minor, in-the-firing chipped section to top of rim, minor wear to handles and surface, and a small, in-the-firing surface ping to front. H 13 1/2".
