Two Pieces of Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware, American, 19th and mid 20th centuries, a small, tapered tub, incised "J.W. Shaughnessy," fourth quarter 19th century; paired with a pitcher, stamped "BROWN POTTERY," Arden, NC origin, circa 1940. Tub with numerous tiny to small rim chips, a few small in-the-firing surface pings, and a few minor base chips. Pitcher in excellent condition with some rim wear and a piece of cloth adhered to underside. Dimensions (of tub): 4 3/8" x 5 3/4"; H (of pitcher) 10".
