Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Horse Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, probably NJ, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stylized brushed design of a standing horse. Brushed cobalt highlight to capacity mark. Excellent condition with two small chips to exterior of rim, additional chips to interior of rim, and some in-the-firing mottling to surface. H 10".
