Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Saxonburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "GEO. H. LOVE. / SAXONBURGH. / PA.," surrounding a stenciled flourish. Freehand stripes above and below. Two base chips. An in-the-firing contact mark to front. H 8 1/4".
