Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SIPE, NICHOLS & CO. / Williamsport, Pa.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flared rim, decorated with a drooping floral motif featuring a graduated blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Includes original salt-glazed stoneware lid. Jar with roughness and paint residue to interior of rim as well as a minor chip to underside, in otherwise excellent condition. Chips to lid. H (excluding lid) 9".
