Rare Large-Sized Stoneware Hunt Scene Pitcher, probably NJ origin, mid 19th century, molded pitcher with hound-form handle, featuring a relief decoration of hounds overtaking a stag and boar. Sinuous branch decoration to collar. Pitcher survives as rarely-found unglazed bisqueware, revealing the detail of the design not visible on glazed examples. Possibly a pottery's test piece. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 13".
