One-Quart Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Star Decoration, attibuted to Egbert Schoonmaker, Kingston, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jar withheavily-tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed star motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Exceptional size. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Numerous tight lines emanating from base, primarily in surface only. H 7 1/4".
