One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LYONS," Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip plant. Brushed "1" at shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A 2 1/4" hairline from rim on reverse. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing flake to underside at edge. A chip to underside at edge. Minor wear to inner rim for lid.
