Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, White's Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed leaf motif, stamped "WHITES UTICA.NY", paired with a three-gallon churn with stylized floral motif, stamped "WHITES UTICA". Jug with a large spout chip, a base flake, and some staining. Churn with a faint Y-shaped hairline on underside, some typical wear from use to interior base, a small ping to inner rim for lid, two short, in-the-firing lines to interior of rim, not visible on exterior, some flecks of brown paint to reverse (unrelated to any restoration), and some light staining to reverse.
