Two Bristol-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Advertising Jugs, attributed to the Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, circa 1900, a half-gallon example, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "Nusbaums Wines & Cigars. / 268 / Springfield Ave. / Newark. / N.J."; paired with a one-gallon example, featuring the cobalt advertising, "Jas. Eagen, / Pittsfield, Mass.". Newark jug with a 3/4" base chip, two small spout chips, and some light staining to surface. Pittsfield jug with a 3/8" chip to side of spout, a minuscule spout nick, a tiny in-the-firing ping to top of handle, and a tiny in-the-firing iron ping at base on reverse. H (of Newark jug) 9".
