Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Flowerpot, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, tapered flowerpot with attached saucer and coggled edges, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, heavily-decorated with splashed copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. A large broken and reglued U-shaped section descending from rim, measuring 5" tall and approximately 11" long along its curve. The entire reglued section is composed of two large pieces and two small chips. Underside with a long, thin piece of curved clay, which adhered to it during the firing. Some additional wear to rim and a few filled rim chips. H 8 7/8".
