Three Huntington, Long Island Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Floral Decoration, circa 1870-1882, all of cylindrical form, a one-and-a-half-gallon crock, stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I."; a two-gallon crock, stamped "S.C. BROWN / HUNTINGTON / L.I."; and a three-gallon crock, stamped "BROWN BROTHER ,/ HUNTINGTON, / L.I." Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Smallest in excellent condition with a few short, minor surface lines to base on reverse. Two-gallon crock in excellent condition with a short, in-the-firing surface line at base on reverse. Three-gallon crock with a top-to-bottom crack from rim on front, a Y-shaped surface line on interior, a surface on underside, and some staining.
