Redware Plate with Copper Slip Fylfot Decoration, attributed to the Singer Pottery, Haycock Township, Bucks County, PA, fourth quarter 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with a bright-green fylfot design created from crossed, tripartite trails of copper slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, discovered by a Singer family descendant in the 1950s in one of several boxes stored away in the eaves of the Singer Pottery warehouse. A 4" in-the-firing line from rim, which is only partially visible on underside. Very minor rim wear. Diameter 8 1/8".
