One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BELL", Winchester or Strasburg, VA origin, 19th century, ovoid jar with flared collar and applied ribbed handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a large swag and hanging flower bud motif. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Impressed under one handle with "BELL" maker's mark below a one-and-a-half gallon capacity mark. Two chips to one handle. Minor wear to opposite handle. Two small chips to interior of rim. A 4" hairline from rim.
