Unusual SHAWMUT, PA Glazed Pottery Lion Paperweight, circa 1910, molded figure of a lion with hand-incised details on slab base, the front impressed "SHAWMUT PA", the lion glazed brown, the base glazed blue. Sticker on underside reads, "Souvenir of vist by J.P. Buchanan to brick works at Shawmut, Pa. app. 1910". Unglazed underside reveals orange-colored brick clay. Very nice condition with a small, lightly-colored chip above one eye and some minor wear to feet. L 3 5/8".
