Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral and Grapes Decoration, Stamped "BROWN. BROTHERS / HUNTINGTON.L.I", New York State origin, circa 1863-1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with opposing flowers above grape motifs. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. A top-to-bottom crack from rim on reverse. A 1 1/2" hairline from rim on side of crock. Staining to surface.
