Quart-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, small-sized, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tooled midsection, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with three brushed foliate motifs around the midsection, swags descending from the rim and flanking the spout, and cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. A tight, semi-circular crack to underside and several short lines to underside/foot area. Shallow chips to bottom edge. Nicks and wear around molding above foot. A horizontal hairline to handle. A 7/8" hairline from rim. A rim chip on reverse. H 7 3/8".
