Glazed Redware Pitcher with Incised Federal Eagle Decoration, attributed to Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, early 20th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base, heavily-ribbed handle, and coggled embellishment at the base of the collar; decorated on the front with an incised design of a spread-winged eagle with shield, clutching an olive branch in each foot, and carrying a banner in its beak, inscribed "Liberty". Daubed manganese decoration throughout, the entire surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few very minor glaze flakes to bottom edge. H 6 7/8".
