Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA", circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring Williams & Reppert maker's stenciling, freehand stripes, stenciled flourishes, and a freehand number 6 flanked by flourishes at the base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to left handle. Spot of gray paint to shoulder. Staining to surface.
