Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Rose Motif, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared wax sealer rim, featuring a detailed stenciled rose motif along with freehand stripes above and below. A few base chips. A chip to inner wax sealer rim. A minor nick to exterior of rim, probably in-the-firing. H 8 1/2".
