Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "S.B. BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CT", circa 1880-1890, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with heavily-shaded wing, perched on a stylized branch. Slip-trailed graduated slashes below decoration. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a light-brown glaze drip to right of decoration.
