Two One-Gallon Western PA Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, both of similar ovoid form, one stenciled "HAMILTON / & JONES / GREENSBORO. PA", the other stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO. / PA." Hamilton & Jones jar with a 1 3/8" base chip on reverse and minor rim nicks. James Hamilton jar with light staining, light surface wear, and a 1" rim chip on reverse.
