Glazed Open-Handled Redware Vase, attributed to Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, early 20th century, ovoid vase with footed base, heavily-ribbed strap handles, and coggling to the shoulder and rim, decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. Appealing form. Taped note on underside reads "Made by Mr. Medinger at Neiffers, Pa in the 1920's". Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a Pennsylvania collection amassed during the mid 20th century. Excellent overall condition with a tiny handle nick, light wear to top of rim, and some whitish residue (possibly water glass) to exterior surface. H 11".
