Large-Sized Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, Philadelphia, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with alternating yellow-slip designs in the form of spots, stripes, and V-shaped trails. Exceptional size. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Restoration to an approximately 5" long section of rim. Additional wear to rim. Some restoration to interior. L 18" ; W 11 1/2".
