Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, probably Philadelphia, PA, early to mid 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with pinwheels flanked by S-shaped flourishes. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor's parents decades ago. Edges chips, including a 1" chip, which occurred in-the-firing. Diameter 11 1/2".
